  • Easily accessible, right off Route 20. Went in late October. Pretty much the tail end of foliage season, there was snow on the ground from the previous day. Kind of busy, but enough room for...  more »

  • Amazing view of Diablo lake. There are plenty of places to park, a few bathrooms and picnic tables. The signs explain how Diablo lake came into existence, the reason why the water is such a stunning greenish/blue and the wildlife that surrounds the area. Highly recommend adding this location if you're passing by.
  • The color of the water is very unique. And no, it is not from an overgrowth of algae. Spectacular view. Picnic benches are available. Go a little further and drive over the Diablo dam and then walk it.
  • Came in from Spokane to camp with our family. We have never been here before but my father in law has. This is a amazing beautiful place everyone is so friendly It feels like home. Lots to see and do for all ages thank you we had a great time.
  • If you visit it when there is sun with some clouds, you will love the color. The pictures do not do a justice with its beauty. It's the highlight of the North Cascades National Park (at least what is accessible by road)
  • One of the best views I have had seen. Diablo lake amazes you with its beauty. Especially the color of the lake. Obviously, pictures don’t do justice. We have been to the vista point. It wasn’t a busy weekend so there were not many people around. History of the lake and the mountains around it is available for you to read at the spot. It was quite interesting read. The vista point had couple of unisex restrooms, clean enough to be used. Parking is sufficient. If you are looking for a beautiful drive with spectacular view and not trail or hike, this is thr place. When you drive back to Newhalem from Vista point, you would pass through a bridge after which there is a side way which has access to the beach. One can spend a nice evening at the lake access. Must visit place when you are in or around Seattle.
