Town Point Park is a 7-acre waterfront city park on the Elizabeth River in Norfolk, Virginia, USA. The park hosts major outdoor concerts, award-winning festivals and special events each year to include Norfolk Harborfest, Bayou Boogaloo, and 4th of July Celebrations. Norfolk Festevents programs Town Point Park on behalf of the City of Norfolk. Located in the park are The Homecoming and the Armed Forces Memorial.

The Armed Forces Memorial is located at the southwest corner of the park, on the river. The Memorial plaza features 20 letters home from US service people from the American Revolution through the Gulf War, all of whom died after writing their letter. The letters are engraved on bronze plates and appear as if strewn by the wind on the Memorial.

Town Point Park is located in downtown Norfolk and is adjacent to Nauticus and the museum ship USS Wisconsin .

In October 2008, almost all of the park was bulldozed to prepare for a total redesign of the park. As of July 2009 it has been open to the public for daily use.

  • This is a small park right on the water. There is plenty of grassy areas and is very flat. Great area for a nice walk along the water.  more »

  • Town Point Park played host to Norfolk Harbor Fest over the weekend. Excellent food and a wide variety of beer and wine was available. The free entertainment really put it all together for a great evening. Donna the Buffalo was true to form and played an inspiring set at the main stage!
  • With the newly revamped Waterside next door. The park is a great place for festivals. Also only being 4 blocks from the light rail station really is helpful!
  • Really enjoyed Harborfest 2017. Lots of beautiful ships and interesting activities. The homemade boat race was interesting too!
  • I love to visit Town Point Park! It's the best venue for festivals in the area. I don't dare go the ocean front and it's madness! Town Point Park is a beautiful setting to spend a day outside. I particularly enjoy the wine and beer festivals and the yearly Barbecue festival. It never feels over crowded because there is just so much room to roam. Plenty of parking in the nearby garages!
  • Norfolk's mainstay for festival events and the perfect place to catch music, a great drink, and the best sunset in Norfolk all at once. Parking is plentiful and easily accessible within a quick walk in multiple directions, making it easy to enter and depart during peak festival times. With biking and running paths throughout the park, connections to the Elizabeth River Trail, USS Wisconsin, and the Pagoda, Town Point is easily one of Norfolk's gems.
