  • While Sugar Bowl is a little smaller than the other big resorts, it has all the advanced terrain anyone could ask for. Great skiing coupled with an overtly friendly atmosphere, and the most snow in Ta...  more »
  • Sugar Bowl is pretty old school in a good way. While a lot of the newer resorts are getting super fancy with big shopping areas in the village SB keeps to the basics. Good terrain and mountains. When ...  more »

  • Such a great mountain. I think it's my favorite in all Tahoe. The staff have friendly attitudes - they must be well trained and looked after. And the website is great, too - with conditions updates on old 40 and powder that are always accurate. You guys make the logistics of skiing a breeze, so we can concentrate on enjoying ourselves ...
  • Great mountain, and even though it was a windy day, the lifts stayed open. Bonus when it's snowing. Be prepared to travel in an antique gondola to take you to the village from the parking lot, fun experience. You will have some nice restaurant and bar options for your lunch or Apres ski. The lifts are moderately fast, so you can do all runs (or more) in the day. Book your tickets in advance to save some money
  • Wasn't to crowded on our visit but it was a weekday. My son who is 10 is learning to ski. There aren't many green runs and a couple of them are borderline blue runs on parts. The blue runs were a little rough as well in parts for him as he has taken blue runs on at other resorts. Also at the end of the Christmas Tree Express its terribly flat which makes for a tough time getting to the lift. Overall we enjoyed our selves but I'll think twice about coming back until my son can take on Blue runs.
  • Had an awesome snowboarding day here. The lifts were all running except for one. Snow was a bit sparse in some areas but all the main runs were groomed which made for a very pleasurable day of riding. Ate at the cafe next to Disney mountain and the bacon cheddar burger was great. Cooked exactly as ordered. Service was also very friendly.
  • One of my favorite resorts in Tahoe. Feels less "corporate" and more personal and friendly than most others. Snow is usually pretty good and the location is perfect if you want to avoid traffic.
