Bluff Dwellers Cavern Reviews
Beautiful cave with lots of history. Must see the balancing rock inside the cave. Truly amazing. Definitely worth the visit. more »
The cave stays 56 degrees, so dress according. You are walking most of the time so I was comfortable in capris and a short sleeved shirt. Due to the fact that this a natural place his is not a handica... more »
We really enjoyed the tour. There are slot of natural things in this cave. Stalagmites, stalagtites, and slot of other things.. Only wish tour would allow for people to stay in longer. But very cool. more »
This was a really cool cave. We've been to a lot, so we always look for something unique. The like museum of family antiques was nice. The entrance and exit coming through the same bluff was different than anything I'd seen. Because it was in the bluff and not in a lower level, there are not as many major formations as some of the best caves we've seen, but there were many active soda straws and several active flowstones. What was most interesting was that the entire tour was along relatively narrow natural passages carved by water, some only a couple of feet wide. The water is actively seeping through the backbone into these passages. We saw several cave salamanders and about 50 bats hanging all around the passages. This was more wildlife than we had seen in a cave, particularly because this cave DOES NOT have white noise! The bats were cool. Also, the cave has a cool family feel and is not as commercial and crowded as other caves in the area.
This is a wonderful place to stop between Joplin and Bela Vista. The cave itself is very easy to walk with only a few up/down steps. Our tour guide, Nicole, was very knowledgeable and engaging. Highly recommend!
Excellent cave tour for the family. It's almost completely level the entire tour. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions with a kind and informative answer. Highly highly suggest this one!!!
I am a big fan of caves and I am so glad we made the trip to Bluff Dwellers! Very fun guide, gorgeous cave, neat museum on site. A spectacular example of why Missouri is "the Cave State".
We took our three grandchildren there and all enjoyed it very much. Our amazing tour guide was a geologist and very knowledgeable! There’s not too much to see in Noel, but this is worth the trip to see this wonderful cave.
