  • Bizarre art in the desert. not for every taste. Sometimes it is hard to tell the art from the piles of trash that litter the desert in the Slab City area. Some good pieces outweigh the depressing atmo...  more »

  • You've gotta be ready for the other world "mad Maxian," and district 9 feel of this community. Recycling all of the parts into a new garden of Zen enthusiasm!!
  • Probably my favorite art museum of all time. Everything is made out of trash. Don't miss this if you're near Slab City. It was a great day trip from San Diego
  • East Jesus is a unique spot on the map. Art everywhere! And not just normal kind of art. These art works are made of materials that city society would consider "scrap" . One man's trash is another man's treasure! Seriously, beautiful art. Stop by if you're in the area to be amazed.
  • Amazing burning man art gallery in the desert!
  • This is strangely amazing. Located in Slab City, a community completely off the grid, it's character is one of a kind. A museum made entirely out of discarded "stuff". The experience is unique and it doesn't take long or you could probably take all day. We went in August and it must have been 120F in the desert, be prepared for extreme heat in the summer months. It's a must see under any condition, however.
