  • It is so cool .Like nothing we've ever seen. Highly recommended. A collection of previously used stuff. Some may call it junk bit it's made to be a collection of art.  more »
  • If you are passing to the Salvation Mountain, I advise you to go to 'Jesus East', an all too unusual place, bringing together works of art (very very very) modern, composed of objects of recoveries. East Jesus is located only a few minutes in car of the mountain. For years, thousands of travelers are fighting to preserve this so unusual place, in the heart of the Slab City which claims itself as the last City 100% free of the United States.

  • We almost came here last year, but were a bit weirded out and turned around before we got there. I'm really glad we went all the way this time. Mom and dad of kids between really small and those smart...  more »

  • You've gotta be ready for the other world "mad Maxian," and district 9 feel of this community. Recycling all of the parts into a new garden of Zen enthusiasm!!
  • Probably my favorite art museum of all time. Everything is made out of trash. Don't miss this if you're near Slab City. It was a great day trip from San Diego
  • East Jesus is a unique spot on the map. Art everywhere! And not just normal kind of art. These art works are made of materials that city society would consider "scrap" . One man's trash is another man's treasure! Seriously, beautiful art. Stop by if you're in the area to be amazed.
  • Amazing burning man art gallery in the desert!
  • This is strangely amazing. Located in Slab City, a community completely off the grid, it's character is one of a kind. A museum made entirely out of discarded "stuff". The experience is unique and it doesn't take long or you could probably take all day. We went in August and it must have been 120F in the desert, be prepared for extreme heat in the summer months. It's a must see under any condition, however.
