  • One of the access points to my favorite places, the Niagara River Gorge. Walk the upper rim or head to the bottom and hike the river bank. It's a beautiful place and a great hike. like an easy hike, or max out the trip, Devils Hole offers both.
  • It can get a bit busy, but the scenery is beautiful and it's a nice little workout. The stairs can be tough, especially when it's busy. Certainly I recommend walking down the stairs at devil's hole then taking the gorge trail as far as you can past whirlpool park - there's a nice, large outshooting of rock that let's you walk right up to the water.
  • Out smells in warm weather but it's a very good hike. The stairs are the worst part.
  • This was a great hike! I'd consider it moderate with the number of stairs that lead down to the main trail. The trail itself is well maintained, wide and clear. It follows along the river for a great view. Devil's Hole is a fun stopping point with large flat rocks to lay out on and enjoy the view. Parking was really easy and flushing bathrooms were available (they weren't clean). I went on a weekday in the summer and only passed a few other hikers. Watch out for snakes - I almost stepped on one in the middle of the trail.
  • Really great place to get some exercise! There are public bathrooms before rhetoric decent, but bring plenty of water. The hike gets hard towards the end so wear good shoes!
