Went to the speedway during the Hot Rod Power Tour. GREAT Facility - just wondering what happened to all the vendors to sell drinks? Several thousand people and I believe they had three stands open to... more »
Have been a season ticket holder for many years. The state-of-the-industry facility is excellent plus has an adequate camping area only a short walk or trolley ride to the gate. NASCAR, INDY CAR, USAC... more »
went there with a group of 16 friends. we did the Rusty Wallace experience. what a great adventure!!! 16 laps of speed! staff was outstanding!! more »
Staff is great. Tent camping kinda sucked. Porto pots were far away and showers were even further. They really cater to RVs. Track had good food at moderate prices. Beer was $6. You can not bring your own drinks in unlike every other track I've been to. The midway and merchandise booth were practically nonexistent. Track itself was great, not a bad seat in the house.
Best short track on the NASCAR circuit. Ticket prices are very good. And the ticket office folks are very friendly. Been to several races at other tracks and this one was the easiest to get in and out of
It is a great place to race! Fastest short track on the planet! You gotta try it once, you will be hooked.
The Speedway itself is fine, but I don't recommend going there to see a concert. Made that mistake at the Metallica Worldwired Tour 2017. We couldn't see anything from our seats and the volume level kept fluctuating; one second it was clear and loud and the next we couldn't hear the lead singer at all. Really wish we could get our money back. All the staff we asked questions or spoke to were very nice and well-informed, though!
what a great way to spend an Iowa summer weekend! all speedway staff, all the way from the teen parking attendants to track president Jimmy Small make sure your experience is an enjoyable and memorable one. any issue you may have are just a text message away and quickly resolved. the people (fans and staff) are that famous "Iowa nice", the sights, the sounds and the smells will leave you with memories that will last a lifetime. Oh speaking of smells, Iowa speedway food vendors are some of the best in the business! they have everything and anything you might be hungry for including your brats, burgers, dogs and fries. Also pizza, barbecue. the warm little mini donuts are to die for, you will eat the whole bucket.lol. Tenderloins almost the size of hubcaps and my personal favorites. No day or night at the track is complete without getting a bloom'in onion and stopping at the Pork producers stand for a world famous grilled "Iowa Chop" Everything is also reasonably priced. in my opinion you get a lot of value for you dollar. If you've never been to the speedway i recommend you try it at least once, you might be pleasantly surprised!
