Robert Trent Jones, II's second 18 hole design in Maine (Sugarloaf was the first), SRGC is a magnificent facility carved into the mountains-- right there in the Jordan Bowl. "Magnificent" isn't hype. Sunday River Golf Club is home to one of the top-rated and finest championship golf courses in Maine. The excellent tree-lined parkland layout contains a wealth of wonderfully crafted, memorable and challenging holes. Definitely a course that will challenge your all-round game, and well worth going out of your way to play.
Love this course. By far the most scenic course you will enter play in New England.
Fantastic golf course! Probably the best I've played and I've played a LOT of them. The scenery simply cannot be beat and the elevation changes are fantastic. Shot an 80 from the back tees last summer that would have been even par or under at a typical course, so pick your tee according to your skill level or it's quite difficult.
Wow this course is beautiful, from the drive through the mountains in route to the course to the 18 holes perfectly placed overlooking the Jordan Bowl portion of Sunday River. Would have given it a 4 star rating but had issues with reservations which could have been a major issue. If I had not called to confirm a week before we would have been stuck without a tee time (had made reservations 2 1/2 months in advance for 12 players). Overall a great experience and would recommend to anyone looking to play phenomenal course.
Fairways were in poor shape, t boxes need to be mowed- very disappointing!!!
