4.3/5 based on 950+ reviews on the web
Get a glimpse of the fishing industry of the past at Newport's Historic Bayfront, which still operates as a fishing port. Watch ships bring in large catches that are sold to the many restaurants lining the water. You'll notice sea lions and gulls eager to snatch stray fish. Enjoy fresh seafood and bay views at one of the restaurants. Bring along a jacket, because it gets chilly by the water. • The shopping street in the guide book recommended a bit disappointed, but that is offset by many other attractions. You can watch the sea lions colony found best if you go to the unmistakable whine, some time with interest. Pull off a real show with their battles for the best moorings in the Sun. We have watched an older Japanese (?) cancer fishing and have learned a few things here. He went away again after a short time with rich booty. The fully automated unloading of a fishing vessel was very interesting to see. That this old harbour serves not only the tourists as a Boulevard, but that there is really working, had a substantial additional value for me. We have stopped us much longer there, than we had originally planned.
