  • We were staying in Newport, but had no idea about the Levee. It was a pleasant surprise. Our hotel was walking distance & we loved being so close to everything. If you have kids & are in the area, I h...  more »

  • The levee is quickly dying out. I remember coming here as a kid/teenager and there was always a crowd and cool places to go. Now it seems a good majority of things have left, the only thing that has stayed is Claire's, game works, the movie theater, bar Louie, and Barnes and Noble (not counting the aquarium). Not much to do here anymore unless you want a quick bite or to see a movie.
  • Newport on the Levee offers a wide variety of somewhat expensive restaurants, good views, and a wonderful experience if you just like walking around looking at the sights. Parking is paid but it's not expensive and the design makes for a lot of wandering (whether that's good or bad I'll leave to the reader). My favorite eatery is Dewey's Pizza and the movie theatre is nice. A good way to spend a day if it's not too hot outside.
  • This was the first time i have been here and i loved it! I ate at Mitchell's Fishmarket. They have very tasty food. If you don't mind digging a little deeper in your pockets you should eat here. Well worth the price.
  • Excellent small point of interest. Beautiful view of Ohio River and Cincinnati as well. Great place to spend some time alone or with company
  • Downtown Cincinnati no matter how you try and spruce it is a bit of a Debbie Downer that shuts up tighter than a clam after 11:00 PM. Thankfully just across the river you got Newport On the Levee going on. Too many good restaurants to even list here. Like anything else acting like a sort of 'oasis' it can get pretty crowded especially at peak times. Those elevators in the parking garage? Fuggitaboutit unless you really can't do stairs. Oh, and on that note and may notice the parking garage actually charges reasonable rates. Something you will not find in downtown Cincinnati ever.
