we always stop here and find the most amazing pieces even though the museum is small, but in the most gorgeous mansion, there is always a surprise of something new and different.
We very much enjoyed the architecture, the grounds, and the outdoor sculpture. I also valued the emphasis on local Rhode Island artists. A perfectly nice small museum.
Bellevue Ave is filled with mansions. Going to this little but packed art museum is nice option. If you are staying at the Hotel Viking this is in walking distance.
A fantastic Art Museum worthy of the visit.

Newport Art Museum, founded in 1912, is located [on] at 76 Bellevue Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island. The museum operates a gallery in the John N. A. Griswold House, a National Historic Landmark that is the premier American Stick Style building. Wikipedia As a grammarian, I recommend NAM delete "on" substitute "at" in this description. Also, I recommend changing your subordinate clause to: ". . . National Historic Landmark, notably the premier example of American Stick-Style Architecture." [Wikipedia]
