  • Very detailed tour covering the interesting history of this fort. Late in the afternoon it was basically a private tour with 4 of us to a guide. Some aspects of the fort as being restored and renovated, so the tour is slowly expanding. Worked out perfectly with our tours of the historic mansions.
  • Very cool place. The day we were there it was brutally cold so we didn't stay long. However it was fascinating. Not to mention the beautiful views.
  • Nice place for a walk, I'm glad that people have volunteered to keep it safe and provide tours. However the tour was just ok. The walk around the perimeter was nice.
  • A great place to visit and gather some early American history. Highly recommend. Take a guide, better than going it alone.
  • Fabulous for walking around the property on a well-maintained path. Beautiful view of Newport Harbor and the East Bay Passage. Spend an hour or a day. There is also a small ferry which transverses the harbor stopping at Ft. Adams.
