Almost exclusively residential, this neighborhood contains lavish mansions built by affluent summer vacationers, including the Astor and Vanderbilt families. These homes represent examples of various architectural styles and showcase designs of some of the most innovative architects working at the turn of the 20th century, like Richard Upjohn and Richard Morris Hunt.   • There's so much to see and do here. You can window shop, stop for a bite to each or just sit and people watch.  more »
  • The shops along Bellview Ave are lovely, unique, and staffed by welcoming shop keepers.If you exhaust them and still have energy, move to the wharfs and to Thames St.  more »
