  • This way my favorite place to go in Newport. This and SealRock. If you are looking for a Sandy beach this is the one to go to!
  • A quiet beach on the north side of town entered by going past Walmart. it was off season and the beach was almost empty so our dog could run
  • This was my first visit to an Oregon beach. Loved it. Wish they had a better walkway to the beach though we all got our shoes wet.
  • Agate Beach is a very pleasant, large sandy beach. It boasts all the fun things a big sandy beach provides. Other wonderful natural areas are within walking distance. It's a great spot to spend a hot day. But... beware the crowds and folks who occasionally don't pick up after themselves or their pets. For that, it loses a star. I'm using a scale comparing all Oregon state parks here. On that scale, it get's a 4.
  • Loved the hilly sands. Clean beach. Great parking spot right across the street and awesome tunnel for foot traffic to avoid crossing the road. Great place for kids and couples alike!
  • The sand is always shifting from dunes to play, its rarely the same . The wind whips across it fast sometimes , so fast it stings but it's beautiful. The fog rolls in and out regularly, creating and changing the horizon .
  • its very hard to find agates here, and there is ALOT of sand to walk over to get to the beach, but its beautiful and clean.
  • Long walk through minor dunes but nice area for the kids to splash.
