Where to stay in Newport

In Newport, the majority of the lodgings are inside old, renovated grand Victorians near the coast or cottages close to the beach. If you're interested in accommodations on the water (cove, bay, or beach), look into the city's inns. The Yaquina Bay area provides excellent views and access to the nearby national park of the same name, while a few economy accommodations are located in the town center.

  • We had lunch here due to its proximity to Hatfield Museum. It was kind of interesting just getting to the food area. Although the 'trails' were marked, coned and roped off, it was still tricky finding...  more »
  • We had dinner at the brewery and were somewhat disappointed in the limited selection of beers available to taste. Rogue brews numerous beers but only a few available to be served in their restaurant. ...  more »
  • This is a great bar/brewery. Try the taster trays (with not 4 not 5 not 6 but 7 beers). I had a kale salad and stout tacos.  more »

  • This place is really cool! You walk through the brewery to get to the very rustic and unique store and restaurant. We had a great view of the marina and bridge. Staff was friendly. Loved the hummus plate, halibut fish and chips, and burger. Oh and hubby loved the beer!
  • Excellent selection of beer and food was delicious. Quality friendly service with a smile. Great place to bring kids too!
  • Service was slow and food portions are small. The only reason I gave it two stars is because the beer is good other than that I wouldn't recommend it.
  • They have $5 dollar tours that include a whiskey tasting at distillery and two beers. You get to see the grounds of the brewery, memoriabilia, and the distillery (Including their coopering shop!). You also get to ride in a small train!
  • I love beer floats! So if course I had to try out the Chocolate Stout Float. Who needs anything to eat when there's a float this good?!!! Wide variety of beers with distinctive flavors. My husband likes hoppy beers and really enjoyed the 7 Hop beer better than the 8 Hop. For me Hoppy does not equal happy. I loved their stouts, porter, and this beer that was half Chocolate Stout and half Hazelnut Brown. Wow! It was like a Snickers beer and in a float...I was very happy!! They also had a Cherry HabaƱero fusion beer was Awesome! Staff was great! Drink prices were reasonable, bar food was on the expensive side. They is also have a restaurant which we did not make it to, but if you're in Newport, Oregon make sure you get to check out Rogue!!!
