  • This is the perfect place to wander and enjoy nature. In less than 20 minutes I was several feet from a deer, ducks, squirrels and what seemed like scores of turtles. Imagine what you would see within...  more »
  • This Park is really a jewel in Hampton Roads, lakes, paddle boating, canoes, RV Park, play ground, shelters , public bathrooms, walking and biking trails. There is a children festival and the Fall Fes...  more »
  • I take my dogs here all the time. We walk the many trails, and they often swim in the reservoir. I have kayaked here, hiked solo, and come just to relax.  more »

  • Great Park in the middle of the city! Very well preserved and maintained. Many shelters in various locations throughout the park. Activities from hiking, boating, fishing from shore or boat, ball fields, volleyball courts, biking and various playgrounds for the kiddies. Also you can just enjoy nature. A large campground is across the lake with trails to historic Yorktown.
  • Right next to a big city but a great place to camp and do outdoor activities. Fishing is great at the lake I always catch a fish. The occasional deer may show up at times. It's also very safe place just don't forget to carry some bug spray.
  • Disc golf course is nice. They have two large group shelters with a paved common area that are really nice for events like family reunions. The campsites are nice, but the bathhouses are gross and in desperate need of refurbishment. There's a path that starts near the campsites that you can take all the way to Yorktown by foot or bike.
  • Great park. Huge lake with great fish. Problem is u can't fish it unless you rent a boat. Then when u buy a shore pass to fish. They give you a small space in west hell somewhere that you cannot get to. Sucks
  • Nice enough but mid summer and hardly anyone here?? Nice to have some nature trails to walk on (flat and not challenging) but just an odd sense of ghost town. We stayed 5 nights in rv, site ok bathrooms could use a deeper daily clean and the lawn areas nearby all restrooms could use mowing with a bit more frequency.
