  • I took advantage of the $1 admission price during August. I love history and everything I've seen was a delight. From ancient times to modern times. I didn't realize how large the museum was. Lots and lots of exhibits. Thinking I was done, I was about to leave but looked at the map and I almost missed out on some parts of the museum. Well worth the walking, time, and visit.
  • If you have any interest in nautical history, this museum is a must-visit. Even if you don't think you are that interested, the interactive exhibits make this a fun museum. It is definitely worth visiting at least once!
  • Great museum! The Ironclad exhibit is one of the best I have experienced. I spent almost 4 hours working my way through that section. Overall, it is just a great place to visit and spend day even if you are not a history buff.
  • THIS REVIEW IS ONLY ON BEHALF OF THE HIKING TRAILS AT THE MUSEUM: I have been enjoying these trails for many years since my family and I were stationed locally. It is always beautiful, and theraputic. This is a very dog friendly hiking trail as well with many winding side trails to explore also. The complete trial is a big circle totalling 5 miles. There is wildlife, 90% of the entire hike is "woodsy" with shade and I love taking my DSLR camera for fun casual shooting. I bring my toddler along often but this is NOT a stroller friendly trail. I would suggest a baby carrier.
  • What a wonderful experience! I am fascinated by nautical history and this great museum did not prove to be a disappointment. I especially like the Abandoned at Sea exhibit. I started to feel like I myself was lost at sea for a moment. I like exhibits that send you away thinking about them.
