  • Short pier, no restaurant at the end like some have. Didn't see any public bathrooms anywhere either. Nice stretch of beach with plenty of surf action. Lots of cute shops and restaurants in the area.
  • We went to restaurant at end of the pier which was good and reasonable for location. No restroom so use public restrooms at beginning of pier. Saw seals.
  • .. This Pier offers a surprise at the end. An original COCO COLA and hamburger restaurant from the 30s. The sunsets are spectacular and the view direction is Catalina Iceland to replace with nothing.

  • Love the beach, Newport is an awesome place. You don't need to walk far to get to the water unlike Huntington. Only visited a few times, but enough for me to enjoy it the sand is sooo soft & the water is perfect. Definitely recommend going there especially if you have younger childeren. But like any beach you still need to keep close eye on them.
  • Newport beach is one of the beach I used to go with my parents when I was child. I used to go here with my high school friends to hang out. I love love the long parking lot that wraps around its free parking pass 6pm every night. Now we go here to catch lots of good Pokémon. Pokémon goers should come here to play!!
  • Parking is a bear and especially pay attention on street sweeping days. Preteen kids do really well in between jetties here with easy times of moderate waves crashing about them...good view of children at play for caretakers. Really great times. Chill atmosphere for relaxing and loving our shoreline.
  • It seems to have just the right balance of crowds and personal space, my family had a good amount of space for our little claim of the beach. People watching is really good, there is a wide variety of people to interact with. I can't wait to return and try my hand at pier fishing.
  • Such a beautiful beach! The water felt amazing and there were cute little shops and Bar's. Got to watch a cute fat seal troll the fishermen lol
