Boat Tour · Outdoor Activity
Come and enjoy a relaxing cruise on the beautiful River Rose, which departs from the waterfront in Newburgh, NY. The River Rose is an authentic 100 foot Mississippi River paddle wheeler. It served as a casino boat in New Orleans prior to coming up to Newburgh and can accommodate 150 passengers plus crew. The boat has a full bar, a climate-controlled main deck and an upper observation deck to kick back, have a drink and enjoy the weather. Captain John and his lively crew offer cruises for every occasion with narrated Sightseeing cruises. Enjoy a day or evening cruise along the scenic Hudson River with friends and family on one of our many public cruises. We feature Sunday Brunches, Dinner Cruises and Dance Party cruises, as well as Special Cruises throughout our season. Or book the River Rose for Weddings, Parties, Fundraisers, Church Events, School Proms, Corporate Meetings and more. Whatever the occasion, make it special aboard the River Rose. On the River Rose we just have one goal in mind: Make every cruise our passengers attend the cruise of a lifetime! The River Rose received First Place in the 2013 Times Herald Record Peoples' Choice Awards. Visit our website for schedules, pricing and to book a tour « less

  • My wife, daughter and I talked about going the cruise and finally did. It was great. You had everything food, beverages and beautiful mountain scenery. We got on in Newburgh and went all the way down....  more »
  • It was beautiful weather and even though the colors had not really changed yet, it was still enjoyable for my visiting family and me. The one disappointment was that we turned and headed back before.....  more »
  • The River Rose is a charming, Mississippi-style paddlewheel boat. Friendly and helpful crew, enthusiastic about the Hudson River and its history, including towns between Newburgh and West Point...  more »

  • DEFINITLEY AN EXPERIENCE. See it for yourself. Short but okay cruise. Brunch was okay. staff were nice (although I ended up helping the older gentleman changing the trash when trying to throw away my cup). Pricey drinks for a small amount of drink. I really enjoyed the vintage feel of the boat but it needs a good cleaning. Bathrooms in need of upgrade badly. Folding chairs and tables inside. Narration seemed dated and sound system not too great. You get a sense of feeling on the boat that costs are cut extremely short as if they were penny pinching. Minimal heat so definitely bundle up if going on a cold day (twice as windy on the Hudson then I land)
  • We had our Wedding reception on the River Rose! Best time of our life!!! Everyone asking us to do it again! Food was great! No one got sea sick! Would definitely do it again!
  • Fun boat trip great crew. Nice events over the season
  • Nice staff but crowded and hot. No narration during tour. Adult life preserver was upstairs, not a safe distance away. Good price but unpleasant.
  • When I did take the cruise it was very relation and enjoyable atmosphere
