  • My grown son wanted to check this place out so bad. He was convinced that black bears are misunderstood creatures. Turns out he was right. This place generally closes for the season at the end of Sept...  read more »
  • You go in thru the gift shop, but before you do that to the left you can buy apples to feed the bears. Went first thing in the morning figuring the bears would be more lively then. First thing was to ...  read more »
  • Had a good, safe look at bears of all sizes. Had our picture taken, petting a cub. Good sized area for observing bears.
  • This was a wonderful experience for us and our girls! Some reviews I read complained of the fencing and I will agree that it was difficult to get good pictures however it's that way to protect visitors and the Bears! We did the picture with the cub they use your camera which was fine with me. The guy taking the pics took 39 of them! I got to go through and choose which ones I liked. It was a pretty quick thing though so make sure you smile the whole time!! You can buy apples to feed the Bears and they love it!
  • Stopped off here on a whim, on a family vacation to the UP last year (2015) and it unexpectedly became one of the highlights of the whole trip. The setting is beautiful. The bears are very well-taken care of and there are just _so many_ of them, and you can get up close and personal to all of them. Especially the cubs, which you can feed (under close supervision, because even a cub can mess you up if you handle it badly) -- and feeding a bear cub is a life experience for everybody. Definitely going out of our way to get back there this year.
  • I pet and fed the cub with my family. I found this place memorable because I really like bears. The ownership has done a good job creating large habitats where these intelligent majestic creatures can thrive. They also offer a great veteran discount which made the experience even better.
  • What an experience. Bears everywhere! Lovely property, and the bears seemed happy. The staff was friendly. Nice place.
  • Fun, interesting stop. For only $20 a car. There were 38 bears when we were there. We took a photo with the baby bear for $10 but it turned out fuzzy. It was still cute.
