Tourist Spot Arena / Stadium
When in Newark, Prudential Center is the place to go for a game of hockey or college basketball. Known as The Rock, the arena is home to the NHL's New Jersey Devils and the NCAA's Seton Hall Pirates. From the jerseys of high school teams to the Devils store and the outdoor plaza, you'll be constantly reminded that this is the hockey epicenter of New Jersey. The arena combines state-of-the art broadcasting technology and amenities, such as bars and restaurants, to give the fans a pleasurable game experience. In addition to sports, the center often hosts concerts and other live events. Depending on the event, the arena's capacity shifts between 16,500 and 19,500; the surrounding area provides enough parking spaces regardless. • The venue was amazing!!! The staff were helpful and organized. When it came time to letting us in, they were very proficient. I would love to go to this venue for more concerts.  more »
  • Newark's premium architectural landmark, home of the New Jersey Devils exudes pride of place. It is accessible by bus and train.  more »
  • Good for the games and good for concerts. The seating is a bit steep and scary though. But ok if you don't look down while you're exiting.  more »

  • Even the farthest seats are good seats. Like most stadiums the cheaper the seat the more cramped it gets, but unlike most stadiums it's easier to get around without much hassle. Food and merchandise prices are a high, but so is every other venue. There's plenty of good reasonably priced places to eat nearby if you don't want to pay for the convenience. Buy your parking ahead of time and you save money. The garage is good deal. Safe. Well lit. Close by. I would not wander far from the stadium as the surrounding area beyond the first few blocks gets sketchy fast, but as long as you stay nearby there is plenty of police presence to keep you safe. Sound system is really good. Staff is very friendly and professional.
  • I shot an interview here with the GM of the NJ Devils. We were treated well and got right in the loading dock without any issues and the security guard was polite. Most of these places, they are not. I have never been for a game or a concert, but it is a neat venue. Can't speak about prices since I wasn't here for an event.
  • Went here for a concert. It's a nice venue with plenty of food options. The place is nice. The only issue is getting inside, now with security you have to go through metal detectors so you have to wait outside. Big police presence so you feel safe. I would go here again. Easy to get to. Only a couple blocks from the train station.
  • I waited in line at Villa Pizza as well as a nacho stand for over 30 minutes. Villa Pizza at 8:13 had no pizza ready? Really. The doors opened at 7:30! I was told there would be a 15 minute wait. The event had all ready started! Then I asked for Pepsi. One machine didn’t work, she leisurely walks to another machine, that pepsi didn’t’ work. She then screams to no one in particular “we need Pepsi” I finally told Robin Austin, you all are unprepared. She told me me “it’s not our fault if the managers…” I cut her off and told her to just give me the soda. Also, I waited in line at a Nacho Stand. Three gentlemen moving as slowly as they could, one of them talking on a cell phone, I don’t know Prudential’s Policy but this can’t be professional. After, finally getting my nachos and beer, imagine my surprise to find out the cheese is cold. Patrons pay far too much money for this sub par service.
  • I have to say this place is nice. It's clean and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The sound for concerts is not that great. But otherwise a great venue.
