  • Take a roundtrip walk across the bridge to burn off calories from Christmas day brunch It's a short walk from the lower East side restaurants (Essex and delancey). The best part was the wide walkway a...  more »

  • Everyone knows the Brooklyn Bridge as a symbol of the city. But I advise to pay attention to this-Williamsburg. On the waterfront by the Manhattan Mini Park, where you can sit and relax with views of the bridge. Helps relaxation, wonderful sunrises here.

  • The bridge offers great panoramic views of New York City and is a really nice walk from Manhattan to Brooklyn. It’s open 24/7 (of course except during times of construction) and offers really beautiful views of the city during any time of the day, especially during sunrise or sunset when the sun peeks through the NYC skyline or at night when the skyline is all lit up from the lights of all the buildings of the city. You can see both views of Brooklyn and Manhattan, so that’s nice as well. Though it’s nice for a leisurely walk, when the weather gets warmer, the walkway is pretty crowded with people, since it is shared between walkers and cyclers, so it is not that enjoyable and favorable for a walk during that time. In the same way, the bridge has a pretty high elevation, so it gets fairly cold during the winter and the beginning of spring. But the bridge is still a great opportunity for photos at any time of the day or year!
  • One of the best bridge I have seen. The view is excellent. I was able to view all side from J and M train. It has both bike and pedestrian lane as well as subway and car lanes. Very beautiful to behold.
  • Great bridge to walk or bike over. Spectacular views of lower and midtown Manhattan. And great views of east river. So whether by bike, train, car or foot u can make it across the Williamsburg bridge. From Lower Manhattan to Williamsburg or Williamsburg to the LES, just like that.
  • The good old Williamsburg Bridge to get over to downtown Manhattan area, either by train, car, bus, biking or walking. When your across, your walking distance to China Town and Little Italy areas. As soon as your over, there's a few shopping and eating businesses. For the rush hour time, get ready to wait in traffic. The bridge did get a make over and lane updates a few years back, it added some class back to it.
  • Biking up the bridge is hard even after a lot of practice. When you finish climbing you are very sweaty but luckily the wind is the worst and the air is coldest at the high point of the bridge so you will soon have pneumonia, unless it's summer. Look at the water down there, don't jump, look at this bridge, what an achievement! See what humanity is capable of? So much to live for. No restrooms.
