  • I love visiting farmers markets whenever I visit a new place, so this was mine for NYC. We went on Monday just after noon. We tried peaches (juicy and sweet), Red Jacket Orchards fresh pressed juice (...  read more »
  • There is a square and public market from morning until late afternoon. You will find fruits, vegetables, flowers, jams, pies from various producers. What struck me was when ended the each seller is collecting everything from below, just clear.

  • Farmer's markets all over New York have this one market to thank for their combined success. Vetted, reliable local growers peddle everything fresh ranging from duck livers to baby broccolini. If you've never been, but healthy fresh eating is something you cherish, head on down to the market. Bonus Some of the best local handmade cheeses and New York wines can be purchased at this market. Request a tasting sample before buying for the most satisfaction. Also, arrive very early during the day to get the absolute best and most in demand items. Alternatively, arrive very late for the best deals of the day!
  • It's a delight to be able to I walk through the Greenmarket on my way to work every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (It's open on the weekends too). All of the vendors I've encountered are nice and quite helpful; they care about their wares!
  • This is a park and a neighborhood in general (albeit primarily commerical in occupancy), that has stood the test of time. Not only over the decades but over the last 150+ years as this had been designated as a park long before most of the structures were built and probably even before the city grid plan was created. They have operated a Green market here, regularly for as long as I can remember and it is generally interspersed with seller of mainly eclectic and cottage made wares which include photographs, clothing and assorted odds and ends. It is always a treat to walk through the park and see what is for sale and see what the ubiquitous street performers are up to on any given day.
  • I've been going to this market for years and you can't get fresh fruit and vegetables like theirs in any store. The prices are great.
  • Great looking farmers market, they got fresh fruits and vegetables for sell at a pretty decent price. Sometime you see them sell cheese, different color mushrooms, honey, seafood, liquor, herbs, flower and etc. Overall great place to go walk around and get produce you might need.
