  • What an amazing hidden gem in Central Park. The views are spectacular, the rink is large & we loved our time there. We liked it better than Rockefeller center - which is also amazing, but much smaller...  more »

  • Skating here is expensive so you might want to head to Bryant Park as well, especially if you own your own skates. The lessons here are terrific and very family friendly
  • The worst ice skating in my life. They does not have hockey skates. Also they are using wrong way. Personal are rude, cutting you off and scarring you. I was so upset. Don't repeat my mistake and don't waist your money and time.
  • I ice-skated here a while ago and came today again for some fun now that is getting colder. I didn't finally skate as I saw Trump signs that made me wonder if this rink is owned by Donald Trump. After quickly checking on google I found out that as I suspected, he is the owner now of the rink again. So I decided not to support his discriminatory campaigns by not ice-skating here and paying almost $30 for entrance, rental and locker. You can enjoy the great views to the city by walking around the park. It might not be the same, but there are luckily other great locations for ice-skating in New York. I was proud to not contribute to someone so old school and narrow-minded. I'll check the rink on Prospect Park in Brooklyn!
  • No supports for kids who can't skate. You need to know how before you go
  • Pricey and can be lines but the ice is well maintained and you're skating in Central Park with the NY skyline as a backdrop. Definitely one of those bucket list items although you may not want to go all the time because of the crowds. They also teach skating groups there too so if you enrolled your kids you get a pass and can skip the lines. For hockey there is another rink in the north end of the park with a traditionally shaped rink. Avoid weekends if possible if you want to skip the line!
