  • The museum is located in the old Warburg residence and was gifted by Frieda Warburg in 1947 to become the museum it is today. I am a regular visitor because , in addition to the permanent collections,...  more »

  • Fun on 1st and 3rd levels, somber and respectful mood on the 2nd (Holocaust). Would have liked to see a bit more on Biblical era Jewish history, but definitely learned quite a bit about the culture
  • This is a beautiful museum, staffed by friendly and helpful people. It was closed when we visited, but the staff allowed us to enter the synagogue to have a look around. I'm so grateful that they did, because the architecture was breathtaking.
  • Can be very hit or miss. It's best to look closely at the exhibition showing as sometimes they are very small and lackluster. Even more so with the $15 admission.
  • The third floor was closed. There were nothing Jewish there. It is just cheap modern art pieces. There was one nice picture collection. But why it is even called Jewish if there is almost nothing Jewish. There are many modern art museums. It is sad, very sad that Jewish museim is not Jewish anymore((((( I was almost crying. When you go to Japanise museum you do not expect to see New York graffity, right? So why is it ok to do that to Jewish? It is such rich culture, there are many things to share....I wish it will change...
  • Excellent exhibit, Florine Stettheimer May 5 - September 24, 2017. East at Russ & Daughters for a blast from the past kosher dairy meal or snack.
