  • Beautiful church. On the registry for a reason. Some parts you feel like it's game of thrones. Other parts cozy. Very nice staff. They have meditation where they play serene new age type music which fills the space very nicely. Other times you hear organ music. Sometimes an event is setting up in there and sometimes movies are shot inside. They offer a tai chi class in the morning i think. The whole complex is quite large, they have a food pantry serving the needy, a gym facility and day camp, a nice gift shop.
  • The experience I had at the pool in St. Barts Church was absolutely awful. On the first day my swim team swam there, there was a huge cockroach floating in the water, and the lifeguard did nothing. Multiple times, we have called out, "Lifeguard!" and the lifeguard on duty doesn't respond at all because he is on his phone with earbuds in. The water temperature is completely unbearable and is probably hot enough to shower in. On multiple occasions, we have found piece of food in the water, or other garbage. The locker room is extremely small and smells very bad, the first time I came there I wanted to gag. The lane lines are crooked pieces of rope with pool noodles on them. The pipes shooting water into the pool are rusty and disgusting. If I could, I would give this pool 0 stars, and I can't see why anyone would want to come here. I am utterly disappointed and angry at the quality of this awful pool.
  • This church is absolutely beautiful, the age and details of the building are immense. Not seeming with tourists so it's a quiet peaceful place as well
  • Not religious but I was so astounded by the beauty of this church that I stopped in the street to take a picture.
  • I'm not Christian but I pass this place near work, very pretty

Where to stay in New York City

The first step to finding accommodations in New York City is finding the right neighborhood. Manhattan, where most visitors end up, offers some of the most expensive rooms in the world, though there are lower-budget options, such as hostels with shared restrooms. Reduce your costs by basing yourself in one of the outer boroughs, but beware of low-end motels where you may end up sharing the premises with hourly customers. Alternatively, stay along the New Jersey shore, offering all the major chain hotels at considerably lower prices than their Manhattan equivalents.
