  • Visited the ever famous Obscura in NYC. The shop is beautiful, their collection is fun to browse- but prices are so high, unless you have a high rise in downtown NYC & rich, you cant afford it. I unde...  more »
  • It was worth the long hike to get there in order to see this amazing little shop. Despite the tiny space, a person could spend hours looking at everything that is stuffed into the store. The owner is ...  more »
  • This is a ridiculous store. It is tiny, there isn't that much here that is interesting to see and the items for sale are way overpriced. This resembles a poorly run junk store more than an antique or ...  more »

  • Absolutely loved it!!! Super friendly!!! The adventure to get there made a 15min walk into a 1hr trek so we ended up getting there before close. They never rushed us! They let us browse and were totally helpful and friendly the entire time. I've seen other people complaining about the prices but I found the prices to be completely fair for what they are- antiques and oddities. Mike was the best part of the experience; he was so friendly and made us feel welcome. He even came outside and talked to us after they closed up shop giving us helpful advice for our trip in NYC. He is hands down the nicest person I've met here. I'm actually probably going to go back again before we leave!!! In conclusion, loved the shop, loved the staff/owner, and will definitely be buying from them again be it in store or online!
  • This place is iconic (assuming you've watched Oddities) and the staff were exceptionally nice, helpful, and down to earth. Thanks for a great experience!
  • The items are great, the prices are great. If you like the odd and bizarre, this a must visit when you are in NYC...
  • This place is pretty cool. I enjoyed walking around the store. Though it is very very small it is packed with interesting pieces. They mostly consist of bones and preserved animals or something strange of that nature. If you don't know, this place had its own show a couple years back. The star from the show was there and she was kind enough to take a picture.
  • Fascinating. Small but absolutely packed with objects and antiques of a weird and wonderful nature. The staff are informative and friendly without being pushy. Delighted with my creepy doll head purchase.
