  • Not frequently visited but worth the stop if nearby. The letters are very poignant and beautiful. Second time we have stopped there and we are usually alone at the memorial.  more »
  • Simple yet powerful kind of Memorial that is. Located in the southernmost part of Manhattan, close to battery Park. Located in park-like area a bit wider space, built the Memorial. I think wall has strong appeal.

  • We felt it was very powerful as the memorial is made up of letters home. You are reading he words of the soldier. Very powerful.  more »

  • In the midst of an apparent restoration. This memorial is more of a park for office drones than anything, but it has a beautiful fountain and some educational plaques and so forth. It is a great place to sit and enjoy a snack not to mention contemplate the sacrifices of thousands of service men and women.
  • This is a great memorial to enjoy while catching some shade and watching the cool helicopter tours take off and land.
  • Get you cart food, u have a nice place to sit and eat your lunch. Of course only on summer/spring/fall...
  • Went here on a quiet but hot Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised at hot cool it was. No sun gets in and it's breezy. Nice view of the helicopters landing and taking off. Very nice memorial of the Vietnam soldiers.
  • It's quite a pretty memorial and a nice place to sit.
