  • I visited this Museum a "pay what you wish", small but interesting. Exceptional artists, all very special and unique. There is also a section on the history of costume, which is really very nice. Famous designers and extremely talented. I recommend it.

  • The docents are fabulous and give great tours. Come on Thursday nights for pay what you wish nights. I love their unique and excellent gift shop.
  • When we visited MAD four years ago, we noted with regret that there was only one exhibition. No such complaint this time: there were six, as all four gallery floors were occupied. I particularly liked...  more »

  • Is a good museum if you are modern art addicted. i found an interesting exposition about videogames as art. if you are going to NYC should visiti MoMA
  • This museum has 5 floors, each floor has different theme with different artists. I liked it overall; interesting art pieces (I loved coral crochet) but i thought it was bit small and thought it could have done better job of installation array. To be honest i dont know if it's worth the admission fee but It is pay-what-you-wish on Thursday night so check it out on Thursday night!
  • The Museum first opened its doors in 1956 as the Museum of Contemporary Crafts, with an original mission of recognizing the craftsmanship of contemporary American artists. Nurtured by the vision of philanthropist and craft patron Aileen Osborn Webb, the Museum mounted exhibitions that focused on the materials and techniques associated with craft disciplines. From its earliest years, the Museum celebrated the changing roles of craftsmanship in society, served as an important advocate for emerging artists, and linked art to industry.
  • Yeah, so this place was a disappointment. Some of that had to do with a couple of floors were closed and one of the three remaining open ones wasn't open either. Oh, and the top level restaurant overlooking Central Park was closed for a private event....
  • The exhibitions are amazing here. The current (05/12/16) is wonderful as always. There is pay-what-you-wish every Thursday from 6pm till closing at 9pm.
