  • The best shop where to find fabrics and accessories of haberdashery, thousands of fabrics, buttons, and other elements that every designer or fashion aficionado should know. A must, if you like fashion, in NY.

  • The mood store associates are the best! They are very well educated about textiles, and they suggested exactly what I am looking for from endless stock of fabrics. Truly stunned and amazed. :) Fine online division associates as well. Weather you are buying through the store or through their online division, you can rest assured you will get top customer service and expert's opinion. I love Mood. Every time I go there, I stay there for hours and no one bothers me. I play and buy fabrics that I love. Truly nice people.
  • Wide range of fabric selection.. however you'll have to rummage through the stacks of rolls on the shelves to find what you need. The store is usually crowded and busy so it's best to familiarize yourself with where each type of textile is located. The staff members are helpful in terms of directing you to the location of your fabric choice. But don't worry, once you're in the right spot, there is most likely another staff near the area to answer any specifics.
  • I only come to this store out of necessity, because they have the widest selection in the fabric district. I think the store is a disorganized mess and the staff is too busy to help you. They will, if pressed, but they don't really want to and that's a pain when you need quite a few samples or whatever. However it's cheaper than B&J (which is heaven because it's organized and everything is labeled). And they are a bit rude. They're busy and it's NY, so you get what you get.
  • Super friendly staff. Little hard to find. Recommend the stairs over the questionable elevators.
  • So much to see! They had a crazy amount of fabrics and notions. They have sewing classes too. Swatch the dog is cute! Wish it was closer to home!
