Where to stay in New York City

The first step to finding accommodations in New York City is finding the right neighborhood. Manhattan, where most visitors end up, offers some of the most expensive rooms in the world, though there are lower-budget options, such as hostels with shared restrooms. Reduce your costs by basing yourself in one of the outer boroughs, but beware of low-end motels where you may end up sharing the premises with hourly customers. Alternatively, stay along the New Jersey shore, offering all the major chain hotels at considerably lower prices than their Manhattan equivalents.

  • Visited because of a Groupon. Had approximately 30 pinball machines. Went there on a Wednesday.... took a 3 hour option... plenty of machines available. You pay a set fee so all the machines are set o...  more »

  • Nice selection of pinball machines. All machines were in good working order and each had info about its history or anecdotes from the games makers. You can easily spend a few hours here. And if you're particularly smitten with a machine, they're for sale. Just check the price tag on the side of the back display. Though keep in mind that the prices seem a little high. Don't impulse buy, do your research.
  • Excellent pay by the hour free play concept and a decent selection of pinball machines. The machines are not all particularly well maintained, but I assume this is partly because they take a ton of punishment from the patrons. If you like pinball it's well worth a visit.
  • I love this place. Brings back good memories. Ever since I was a young boy, I've played the silver ball, from the East side down to Soho, I must have played them all... Go, have fun, enjoy
  • Dropped by for a one hour quickie. Was amazed at the selection of games available and for unlimited play too. First time playing pinball in years and seeing classics such as Funhouse and Jack-Bot bought back memories of childhood family outings at Atlantic City, Lake George, and Seaside Heights. Vintage machines such as Black Hole and The Six-million Dollar Man make the experience one that spans through the different eras of pinball. Will definitely return soon.
  • Best advice I can give is get here early and you'll have the place to yourself. Good titles on location, price wasn't too bad either.
