  • I have never had such outrageously bad experience in any shop in my life! And this is in the centre of NY! First the guard said I am only allowed to stay in the shop for 20 mins and then the shopping ...  more »
  • I don't usually do bad reviews, also because I usually try to fully understand everything that can happen in a store, being my own field of work. But the bad experience in Manolo Blahnik's boutique in New York, having left me totally grounded and annoyed, deserves at least a negative review; it's the least I can do because if I'd allowed myself to tell the Manager what she deserved she probably wouldn't have sold me my shoes. And in New York it's the only offer, so obviously you can afford to do what you want. Which he did anyway. Let's go step by step. In addition to working on it, I am a fan of women's footwear of a certain caliber, and being my first time in New York, on my honeymoon, I promised to buy at least a couple. I go to the boutique 2 days ago to try these shoes: a shoe that costs up to 1000 euros, it would be assumed at least a certain service. No, I don't. The policy of the boutique is this: being shoes with balance ("cheap" as the Manager said) the customer has 20 minutes to buy after which it is thrown out of the store, you can not try more than 3 pairs, and the order besides giving you the shoe does nothing else; so it was all the time at the office door that they conversed with each other. I can understand and accept even if I do not share, I leave the store at 17:15 saying that I would think about it and that I would come back the next day (cost of the shoe 430 euros), the Manager takes the box from under my feet in an annoyed way and not even saying goodbye goes away. Time a couple of blocks I decided to take them, and since I would leave for Italy the next day, I decided to go right back so as not to have to remake the trip the next day until the store since I was away with the hotel. I return at 17:36 (closing time of shop 18) and behind closed doors the saleswoman tells me that the store has been closed for sales at 17:30. 6 minutes earlier. I tell her I just have to pay for a couple already tried and nothing, it doesn't open me, and she tells me I have to go back to the opening the next day. Armed with patience, and a little annoyed, I decided to come back yesterday morning and go buy shoes. 15 minutes of waiting in the sun, and I enter the store. Again: 20 minutes available and only 3 pairs to try. I try those of the day before, determined to take them, and tried to buy a second pair I ask the Manager, who had recognized me from the day before, to bring me another couple that I had seen and of which I had clearly seen there my number. It makes me wait 10 minutes and then spend my time, and then leave the office and tell me I don't have my number. Now, the scene was very clear: he thought I was waswasting my time, and he didn't want to give me the second shoe. He didn't understand the need to take both. And at that point, treated like this, I was left wanting to go further. To conclude, he has just brought out the worst: he looks at me and says to me in an absolutely and clearly provocative tone "so, do you think about it and come back tomorrow?". Well, at that point I told her serafica" no, okay I'll take them now." I conclude here and I don't tell any more details because I think I've already gone further, but I think it's right to review what happened. Because of America I really appreciated the seriousness and professionalism of the shops, but this was not up to the task. And a local girl who was waiting in line with me confirmed to me. Surely the Manager, knowing that it is the only sales proposal on New York allows you to do what you want and does not care because it knows that the shoe if you want it, you have to buy it there, but I can and feel I have to say that it has totally ruined my first experience with Manolo Blahnik. An experience I wanted to do for a long time, a bit like a gift and a reminder of my honeymoon. I bought the shoe, but I absolutely did not experience a positive emotion and I do not have a good memory or impression. I wouldn't go back to the boutique and buy them online or wait to go to London. I think this person, completely outofs the environment and the atmosphere of the boutique. Not because of the 20-minute or 3-pairs policy, but because of the way you pass a shoe as you say "cheap" at 430 degrees and make you feel flawed to buy it. I'm not used to this, and it wasn't a pleasant experience. Indeed.

  • Hello, I am a customer shopped at NYC boutique sale on Madison Ave. I have been treated discriminately by the woman manager. I like to file a complaint of this sale started this Mon. First day all han...  more »

  • Terrible shopping experience. The manager was so rude and has no idea how to treat her customers. She threw the box to me and her face was like I owe her million of dollars.... I strongly suggest the company give her more training or just fire her, because her colleagues can do much better than herself.
  • If Google can allow me to give a 0 star, I think I would love to. The sale associates are extremely rude. I was in front of them, and they just ignored me and help other customers that seems to be richer. I waited so long and no one is helping me to get a size. Very disappointed with the attitude.
  • Lovely shop assistants but, please, work to re-educate the store manager if you wish your brand to maintain its standard.
  • Early today I had traumatic experience in the New York location. When I asked for a pair shoes the manager perceived to throw the box at me in a very disrespectful and violent manner. This lead to me feeling very violated and attacked so I decided to leave the store even through I liked the shoes and the size was perfect. As I was exiting that same manager ran after me and verbally assaulted me. I have never ever been treated in such a horrible manner. This greatly affected my view of the company even though I have been a long time customer. I will not be returning nor will I be buying a pair shoes from this store any time soon.
  • I was a bit intimidated by some bad reviews here, but when I walked in yesterday, they were very kind and helpful. If you have any questions about their shoes, don’t be shy - you should just wave at them and ask them for advise. The lady who helped me was not pushy at all, she genuinely wanted me to get a pair that would last long and get lots of wear out of. I ended up not buying anything but they were sill friendly. :)
