Where to stay in New York City

The first step to finding accommodations in New York City is finding the right neighborhood. Manhattan, where most visitors end up, offers some of the most expensive rooms in the world, though there are lower-budget options, such as hostels with shared restrooms. Reduce your costs by basing yourself in one of the outer boroughs, but beware of low-end motels where you may end up sharing the premises with hourly customers. Alternatively, stay along the New Jersey shore, offering all the major chain hotels at considerably lower prices than their Manhattan equivalents.

  • just walk the length for fun from start to end on this iconic bridge, good views and see part of the Manhattans skyline  more »
  • If you have time better to go to this bridge by foot over East river. It connect lower Manhattan to Brooklyn. Quite crowded, toll-free. Other option to take snaps from Brooklyn Bridge.  more »

  • One of the beautiful bridges in The Earth. The bridge is huge , has both walking side and a side for bikes. If you ever go there, have a walk under the bridge in the DUMBO area. Its beautiful.
  • If you're walking use the walking side. If you're on wheels use the biking side. Don't screw this up. It's a safety thing. Besides that this is the best bridge to cross in NY!
  • Manhattan Bridge crossing gives you an awesome view of Lower Manhattan and the neighboring Brooklyn Bridge! No worries of overcrowding with the tourists and cyclists mowing you over. It is the underdog of pedestrian bridge crossings in the Big Apple!
  • It is a nice experience for somebody who likes to enjoy sightseeing you can observe most of the city I really suggest to visit
  • Nice bridge, well built. I walked under it with my family and did not get mugged, 5/7 would do again.
