  • I'm so glad I went. I love Malcolm X and what he represented, so I am ecstatic to see they preserved this place beautifully. To look at the spot where this beautiful buffalo soldier fell, it's heartbr...  read more »
  • The market was pretty much as expected. We were there a bit early (at about 10.45) or it was part of the dealers a little late. There was a lot of jewelry and clothing, but above all there was a salesman who sold the drums in various sizes at affordable prices. I took the opportunity to buy a cool colorful dress. The biggest proceeds, however, was the seafood store next to-Sea & Sea Fish Market. Do not miss it! Easy to get there by subway. The station was only a block away from the Harlem Market at Malcolm X Boulevard.

  • It is a species of African souk, where even t-shirts "I LOVE NY". I was hoping a more typical, warm, place with a corner "food". I think I did it in less than 10 minutes, it's not far from the Apollo Theater.

  • Good amazing things to buy. My experience went well, good pricing as well. I'm happy with every purchase I made.
  • lots of handbag knock offs, shea butter is awesome ,pretty good. don't forget to haggle for prices, vendors mostly will give in to your price.
  • The Harlem Market was such a delight and welcoming venture especially because my husband is from West Africa. It was like a little bit of Africa in New York. I'm an earring fanatic and I purchased 6 pairs from the market. The vendors carry a variety of items such as jewelry, attire, bags, etc with most items made by hand. Most vendors are willing to negotiate. The market is pretty clean and orderly. There are located in Harlem near the 2 & 3 train. They are located in the vicinity of many restaurants and shopping.
  • Love visiting and shopping at this open African marketplace. Lots of beautiful items available.
  • Great place to go for shopping especially if your a tourist
