  • We were not convinced whether to go or not to go to the wax museum, because we thought it is something which can be done in other cities, and we didn't mind taking away time to other things we could do in New York, but it was a nice diversion. Funny, if only because we had a child of 11 years, and has certainly nothing to do with the wax museum visited for example in Rome, many years ago. This is very scenic and worth visiting. Located in the Times Square. The statues look real.

  • This is the best morning I have had in a long time. The queue was fast, allowing us into enjoy the exhibits. Diane and I both hammed it up with various characters and exhibits for a good three plus hours. A great experience, a must for NYC visitors and great value for money. A true must!!!
  • This was the best place I've been to and I live in NYC. I was here with some visitors and they loved it. I recommend getting the superhero ticket with the wax hand souvenir. Wait time for the wax hang could anywhere from 45-75 minutes but it's so worth it and it's a cool experience and a great present for you to take home
  • I had an amazing time there but I was wondering maybe you could make an exhibit inspired by the Netflix series Orange is the new black. You could have figures of all the Main characters and make it feel like we're in the show. You could even put something for people to take mugshots so it feels authentic.
  • It's been a few years since I was here but I had a great experience here. Its oddly amusing going around looking at and taking pictures with "celebrities". Some of them even look seriously real. I'm sure some of the dolls I saw there have been replaced, but there were relevant celebrities there. Some old and dear, while some new and popular. I recommend you to go there, it's great fun. Bring your camera ofcourse. Also grab a suvenir. I regret not getting any cool ones from the shop there.
  • Wow I don't know what happened to this place. I came here once a few years ago and there were a ton of wax figures. Name any big celebrity and they had them somewhere. I just came back here recently a few months ago and the variety was terribly poor. It looks like they got rid of a ton of the figures and we were very disappointed. I'm not sure if they rotate them throughout all of their international locations, but I was definitely not happy with what they had considering how great the last time was. The figures themselves are absolutely stunning, don't get me wrong. There just weren't a lot of them.

Where to stay in New York City

The first step to finding accommodations in New York City is finding the right neighborhood. Manhattan, where most visitors end up, offers some of the most expensive rooms in the world, though there are lower-budget options, such as hostels with shared restrooms. Reduce your costs by basing yourself in one of the outer boroughs, but beware of low-end motels where you may end up sharing the premises with hourly customers. Alternatively, stay along the New Jersey shore, offering all the major chain hotels at considerably lower prices than their Manhattan equivalents.
