  • Lord and Taylor was a very nice shop. Until I wanted shoes in my size (6.5). They didn't have shoes in that size. I had to go to the children department for that..... I'm 18 so we did not go there with obvious reasons. Apart from that the shop looked very nice and had a wide selection of clothes and shoes. ---6/10---
  • Lord & Taylor should take a look at their customer service. Some of their staff members are wonderful (the menswear/suit guys are good-natured and professional and always have good suggestions) but the cosmetics people are ruthless and I had to escape from the store after being cornered by YSL people trying to sell me hundreds of dollars worth of skincare I didn't want or need. The womenswear people generally ignore me and trying to find anything is a nightmare.
  • A slightly better shopping experience then Macy's (which is hell on earth!). Decent range and the store is fairly well laid out. Don't expect good (or any) service though.
  • It's Lord & Taylor on 5th Ave - and for the vintage feel alone it's a good experience. But in my trips, the classy old school department store feel is usually a dwarfed by the less-than-classy chaos of a modern department store. Maybe early in the day is better, but by 1pm merchandise is often strewn about, and not just in the over-crowded perfume section.
  • Typical Lord &Taylor store.. its huge and big.. bargain price when you shop on sale time.
