  • Came here for dinner on a weekend. The staff were very friendly and kindly accommodated our request for a table by the water. Our server was great: very knowledgeable about the menu and wines, always available whenever we needed anything and our food was brought at the right times (not too soon or too late). The lake views are unbeatable. Overall a great dining experience.
  • I've had Sunday brunch here a half dozen time over the past two years. Food has consistently been good with attentive service. But my first (and last) dinner there this past weekend was a major disappointment. I ordered their roast chicken dinner, a basic meal any decent restaurant should be able to prepare well - but not here. The waiter never asked about our meals, too busy apparently to do so. I've had better food at neighborhood diners in NYC. Hard to beat the view of the lake in Central Park. For the money, dine elsewhere and take a walk by the lake afterwards.
  • As a restaurant and bar you cant beat the location right on the Lake in Central Park. Last time I ate here the food was good. With cold beers. As a park takeout staple the baked goods are made here and are great plus - The Price Is Right the takeout counter has been turning out food and snacks for decades. none better than the ones you can get today.
  • One of the most romantic places in New York. Great for family lunches (including kids) or a nice date with the marvellous view of the lake and the ones on the boats in good weather. You should not have high expectations on the food but can guarantee that you'll enjoy every second of it. I'd recommend to book a table on opentable app before going there and to call for reservations for more than 4 people.
  • Nice place to eat outside on a sunny day! The boathouse has both indoor and outdoor seating, the indoor bar and restaurant is a little pricier, but there are snacks and sandwiches outside that are reasonably priced. Great little place in the middle of the park!
