  • To get there, just down on 5 Av/59 St. Station of the subway and walk through the Center Drive where the statue of General Jose de San Martin and walk across the South face to Bethesda Fountain and The Lake, the boathouse is at the bottom of the right arm. There is also possibility to use the entrance to 72nd Street and walk across the Terrace Drive until you reach the source.

  • My father and I have eaten here twice now over our last few trips to NYC. It has never disappointed. The restaurant itself is in a beautiful spot in Central Park. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive during both visits. The food was top-notch. It is pricey but worth it for taste and overall experience. It's one of the few places left these days where you feel like you should get dressed up to enjoy a nice meal. I love this place and will continue to stop here every time I visit the city.
  • The food is great, not spectacular, but above average. I very much appreciated that they continuously brought bread around for patrons to see and choose. It also seemed like the manager cared deeply about customer satisfaction, which is pretty rare nowadays. The location overall is fantastic. I highly encourage anyone visiting Central Park to eat here!
  • This place was a must for me when planning my trip to New York. I made a reservation well in advance and while it is absolutely picturesque, I really wasn't impressed with the restaurant. I ordered the crab cake, which was delicious. But the rest of our food, including a salad, was nothing special. In fact, seemed like something we could get anywhere else. Food is overpriced.
  • Sunday brunch here was excellent! We had a table by the window, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. Prices are a bit on the high side, but it is Central Park so that is to be expected and it is definitely worth it!
  • Fantastic views of the lake where you can jump on a boat and row across to the other side. Main bar/restaurant is well decorated and has a vibrant atmosphere. We sat outside where the table service was slow, but the waitresses were friendly and apologetic, so may not have been their usual standard. Great for a lazy afternoon of relaxing and catching up with friends.
