  • What a cool museum. Go if you have an hour or two to kill. We came in on a Friday afternoon and were offered a free guided tour. Sergio was very knowledgeable and made the experience fun. Highly recommend!
  • I had a great time with my tour guide Sergio. He was quite informative, and had intriguing facts for my inquisitive mind. The other staff are helpful as well. You can see poisonous lipstick, different recorders that look like purses, shoes, briefcases, poisonous umbrellas, and even jackets. Some of the museum is hands on, and other areas aren't. If you bring children you need to attend to them. There is a ton of glass displays. If you want to know more, then you need to go. Overall, you will have a blast if you love Spy movies.
  • I study Russian history in my spare time & this museum had objects I’d only ever read about before- I never even thought I’d be able to see them in person! They have an incredible collection of spy gadgets & Soviet furnishings. The tour was super informative & fun, amazing experience!
  • First of all, this museum is awesome. I want to first respond to the people below: The KGB and Gestapo are two completely different things, two opposing nations, two different histories. Secondly, I do the same thing that Sergei or Sergio (forgot his name exactly, sorry!) at a different museum, and his style of giving tours was much better than mine, and I've since adopted a lot of what he did. The museum is reasonably priced, and they gave us a complimentary tour. The collection is very impressive, and clearly meticulously curated with individual histories behind what seems like thousands of artifacts. The gift shop had a lot of cool items, stuff outside of the typical keychains and trinkets you see in most NYC museums. I still use my vodka glass from here nearly every day (sometimes just for water), definitely will visit again.
  • I accidentally came across this little museum and what a gem it is! It's a small space, but the museum contains a treasure trove of spy gadgets, devices and artifacts from the KGB.  There are also several interactive exhibits such as a photo booth with the soviet hats and jackets, a "torture" chair that you could be strapped into, an old rotary phone to "call" members of the KGB, and a few others.  We were given a complementary tour and  our guide Sergio was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and funny. Basically, this is a fascinating, informative and a fun museum and I definitely recommend it to anyone.
