  • My mom wanted to go here for her birthday and since she is not a fan of driving into Manhattan, asked me to take her. I thought "oh a spice shop, interesting" - that does not begin to cover it! I wish...  more »
  • If you need to find unique ingredients, this is the place. The selection of salts, sugars, bitters, spice blends, tea, etc. is amazing! The focus is on middle Eastern (Turkish, Mediterranean, Armenian...  more »
  • Very good to buy spices, teas, sauces and various Oriental meals. A bit rude attention, but the place is worthwhile and especially to take lunch on the floor from above with the preparations of the day yprobar the falafel, the children involved, the cheese feta and the infinite variety of delicious olives. That's great!

  • I used to go to Sahadi's all the way out in Brooklyn, before I discovered this gem right in Manhattan. All kinds of bulk nuts, spices, teas, Mediterranean and Indian treats and food products. Specially culinary goods too, like syrups and cheese making supplies. A fantastic selection! Be sure to check out the bagged grains, beans and flours- gluten free goodies in there, including pre blended mixes. Be ready to fill your pantry!
  • This place has an amazing selection of spices, herbs, dried fruits, vinegars, bitters, and too many things to list. Great for new ingredients for your kitchen or bar. The staff is also friendly and helpful.
  • My favorite store! It's a bit overwhelming; come armed with a list for best results. You will leave with more items than were on your list, though. This is the ultimate NYC source for Asian/Indian ingredients and products. This should be a mandatory stop for any tourist who appreciates cooking.
  • Esoteric (to me at least) collection of foods condiments drinks nuts bowls and teapots plus great Mediterranean fast food!
  • Great selection of unusual & specialty condiments. Prepared food upstairs still good but the lentil fritters are tiny but up to $2 apiece
