  • A nice little market and festival to get the day started. Had a lobster taco on my way through the loop. Very small, but enjoyable. A good way to start the day.  more »
  • Hester Street Fair is held on Saturdays 11:00 until 6:00. During my vacation I went to a little bit of trouble to get there because I love New York Street Fairs! There was hardly anything there and it...  more »

  • Neat little 'sort of' street fair, with local vendors from the Lower East Side. Mostly knickknacks and artisanal oddities, there are a few good booths with some decent food.
  • A tiny flea market that is certainly no Brooklyn Flea but it does have its own charm. In addition to the stands in the small lot, there are typically a couple of traveling trucks parked outside that sell various wares as well. Don't expect to spend much time here due to the size but I do appreciate that there are tables and benches if you want to eat, sit or chill.
  • Cute little line up of purveyors featuring tasty num nums and hand made items of all sorts.
  • I used this locale to sit and eat a shitload of donuts. Did not disappoint. There were also apparently some samples of random things, too. Cool.
  • Who doesn't like a street fair? Located conveniently in the heart of Lower East Side on Essex and Hester. Local vendors gather here every Saturday. Whenever I'm not sure what to have for lunch on a Saturday I always find myself here, sampling a bunch of food from a variety of choices.
