  • Impressive place. It's free and open throughout the day. Beautiful dome view from the inside.
  • Beautiful building and cool piece of history. The inside with all the reliefs of the Union generals is really neat to see as well.
  • Grant's Tomb was one of the first places I saw on my very first visit to New York in my teenage years. Now decades later I decided to visit it a week before moving out of New York City. I approached the south-facing entrance of the mausoleum and walked up the stairs, only to discover that it was closed for the day. So I snapped some photographs and walked across the street to visit Riverside Church, just one block south of Grant's Tomb. I think that it is very impressive and it definitely looks good in this park-like setting, visible from quite a distance, and it is very close to Riverside Park and the Hudson River.
  • Been in it many times. A good place to remember a great American. Every time I drive buy, I yell "Thank you, General!" out the window.
  • Every year the park service has an educational memorial for the birthday of a great president. Every year they have great speakers.
