  • Interesting attraction as such an ancient object was moved into Central Park. Sign helps to explain the history including how it was moved to it's current location.  more »
  • Simply amazed that a genuine Egyptian obelisk dating to 1600 BC can actually exist in Central Park. One of the most interesting and very cool treasures in this city full of endless things to discover.  more »

  • This is a spectacular piece of history. You can see this Obelisk from afar. It is pretty gigantic and has a lot of interesting carvings on it. Definitely stop by this monument when you're in the Central Park.
  • It is a nice site. However i do not like that the trees are blocking the background view of the park.

  • To me, one of the most unique sights in New York. If you like history at all and you're in New York you must stop by and see it.
  • Easily comfortable place. Cleopatra's needle, the Obelisk. Nice to have here in the city. And I read that its the oldest monument in the city. 3400 years old
