Central Park, New York City

Must see · Scenic Walking Area · Park
In the midst of all of the city's concrete and high-rises, Central Park brings greenery and shady places for relaxation--as well as a zoo, carousel, skating rink, theater, and several fountains--to the northern part of the city. Stroll, bike, picnic, or people-watch among 341 hectares (843 acres) of lakes, jogging paths, woodlands, walkways, lawns, and trees. One of the country's major historical landmarks, the park hosts frequent concert, plays, and art shows. Stop by the Alice in Wonderland statue, a favorite place for photos. • Central Park is one of the glories of New York. It has parks and lakes; you can have a picnic. It's best point is that it is a big area of clear land in New Pork City, one of the most densely...  more »
  • We went to park so my daughter could ice skate only to discover they are closed on Sundays! It was a beautiful January day for skating and pictures! Be mindful if you go to park to skate there a bit.....  more »
  • No matter which entrance you start, you can always walk (or bike or jog or skate to your heart's content. Make a big loop to come back where you started, or exit on the other side of the Park to...  more »
  • Beautiful park and world famous. The park is absolutely massive and would recommend you take at least half a day to walk through just some of the many paths the park has on offer. Amazingly calm place to be in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of America’s biggest city!!
  • I usually spend a good four hours here. I absolutely love jogging on a nice Saturday and get my five miles in. I even ran into my favorite fashion designer Carolina Herrera one day! You never know who is hanging at this maze of a park. I love NY!
  • Great and giant park. A place to walk and do excercises. Picnic and excellent pictures.. it's so good to see places from our favorite movies. Just use Google maps to know where you are. Just be careful It's easy to be lost in thousands of different roads. Great to see during winter summer spring or autumn. Any time of the year. One of my top 10 things to do in New York city My suggestion to everyone If you can start from Columbus Circle metro station. Nice views of Manhattan and central park. Grab some food from whole foods market and start to walk through central park. Bethesda fountain top 1 places to know!
  • What a beautiful place to get away from it all in the heart of the city. So many birds and squirrels made it delightful and there are lovely gardens and different terrains to explore. A wonderful spot for a picnic lunch or a break after a busy day in one of the nearby museums.
  • There’s always been something magical about Central Park, regardless of it is the spring, summer, winter or fall. It’s always a great place to spend the day. People watch, hang out, ride a boat, get lunch, go for a stroll, exercise, check out new museums and see the zoo. Always something fun and exciting is going on! I will always love this place dearly with my heart. A must stop for every time I visit the city. Until next time Central Park. 🧡
