In the midst of all of the city's concrete and high-rises, Central Park brings greenery and shady places for relaxation--as well as a zoo, carousel, skating rink, theater, and several fountains--to the northern part of the city. Stroll, bike, picnic, or people-watch among 341 hectares (843 acres) of lakes, jogging paths, woodlands, walkways, lawns, and trees. One of the country's major historical landmarks, the park hosts frequent concert, plays, and art shows. Stop by the Alice in Wonderland statue, a favorite place for photos. • A large and wonderful park, plenty to explore and always several baseball games to watch at the weekend. The theatre bar staff were lovely and very friendly.  more »
  • Just about every time I visit New York City, I make time to come to Central Park. This time I met my daughter and son-in-law (who had never been) and took them to the park for a Saturday morning strol...  more »
  • I went to Central Park multiple times during my stay in New York City. The park is beautiful and very clean. I wanted to do a small bike trip in the park but unfortunately it started raining.  more »

  • One of the most beautiful gems in the heart of Manhattan. You could spend your whole day in this park. It's peaceful yet exciting always something going on. One of the best places for a wedding, horse and carriage ride , a stroll, a date, a picnic, a run, biking or just to get away. I have been walking this park for years and recently discovered a new part. I look forward to the peace of mind I find here. This park also has a swimming pool and baseball games going on during the summer. Although it's in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city... This park offers so much to New Yorkers and Non New Yorkers alike.
  • So many things going on! This was write a different feel from the small town suburbs around Kansas City. There were corporate softball games, kids playing on the playground, hundreds of runners and cyclists, a classical music concert, people having picnics, buskers, artists, and people just taking everything in as I was. The great thing was the relaxed, friendly and way going attitude of EVERYONE! This truly is an incredibly unique place that you must visit when in NYC.
  • That is a really big park. If you come as a guest to this city, be prepared and don't think you can cross the park in 10 minutes. There are a lot of convenient places where you can grab food and drinks. Also you can find a lot of painters, striving for something greater. You can find a zoo, too. I haven't been to the north part, because after I came to the big sea in the middle, I stopped. It has a great view to look into the sea the the seas skyline. I can say that this is obviously a great place for jogging, eather directly through, around the sea or around the park itself.
  • Great place to play games, listen to buskers, hike, or just settle down and read. As someone who's lived in the burbs all my life, this is a fantastic relief from the craziness of the city. For tourists who have heard rumors of central park not being safe, I'd say just use common sense. While reading, I saw 2 police cars and a few officers on bicycles pass by in 30 minutes. It's one of the most patrolled areas of the city. After dark, definitely be in a group, but that's true of pretty much any part of the city.
  • Great concierge but the most unfriendly check in, front desk on earth. We had a connected room with 3 screaming children next door, got zero sleep, complained, nothing. Not even an apology! As a matter of fact, he said, "we can't control the behavior of the children." Really? 11pm to 530am... non stop. Horrible service matched by their attitudes. Go to the Aloft!
