  • With Central Park so close by, this park is mostly used by locals. There are 2 dog parks. One for small & one for large dogs so you are sure to see many neighbors walking their dogs. Has a great playg...  more »

  • Apart from tourism, an oasis of tranquility, located directly on the East River is the Carl Schurz Park. A lovely promenade along the East River with beautiful views of the other neighborhoods of NYC. Also located in the Park of the residence of the New York Mayor. However, the free view of the building by green plants is limited. However, the Park is an opportunity to enjoy some rest and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the city and the Upper East Side.

  • A nice little getaway on the upper east side. Well maintained, pretty gardens, two nice dog parks (one for big and one for small). Feels safe and I have seen police drive through the area to keep an eye on things. Really nice view of Roosevelt island and the east river!
  • Love this park! Lived nearby for many years and went all the time. It's never too crowded, there's a great promenade with river views, and plenty of quiet spots in the grass to lay out and get some sun. It's always well cared for and frequently hosts local events. Perfect!
  • The Easter egg hunt was fun. Great view of the water. Cold in the morning. Bathrooms are pretty good compared to other public park bathrooms.
  • Amazing playground right by the waterfront. Multiple playgrounds for kids of all ages and perfect for a nice break.
  • Growing up, this was the park I visited the most. They upgraded it about 20 years ago and my kids still go there. Sprinklers are on during the hot summer days. Great for kids up to about teens.
