  • Possibly the only bar in NY where you aren't competing with the table next to you to hear your friends. The Bartenders will shush if it gets too loud and everyone magically tones it down a notch which...  more »
  • Just kidding, shush away! This is a romantic, Renaissance bar that's relaxing and quite enjoyable. I tried the Black Raspberry Honey wine which was delicious! They had unique offerings and an unusual,...  more »
  • This is a small bar with a lot of character. They have a great cocktail and beer list - I had some kind of Belgian IPA which I really like. It has a laid back vibe, when it gets too loud the bar tende...  more »

  • Great place from a drink, variety and atmosphere perspective. However, yesterday when I went a star needed to docked as the typical behaviour of the bar staff (to shush when the noise goes above a certain level) was missing. The barman seemed to have a relationship with characters wearing baseball caps backwards who were watching football on a phone (This is a bar that revels in the fact it doesn't have a TV). At stages during the game they were screaming. It was most disconcerting and not in line with what this bar is about.
  • It's like God heard my prayers when I asked for a nice, quiet and cozy bar. Only whispering? What an amazing concept! I absolutely love this bar. Not just for the whispering but for the wonderful service. Definitely 5-Stars in my book!
  • Interesting place. Kept super quiet, almost too the point that it may Creep out some people. Definitely not for everyone, but a good place to enjoy a nice drink in a quiet setting
  • Not what it use to be. Bartenders are rude and you can't "sush" anymore, which greatly takes away from the experience. Beer selection isn't any greater than any other place now a days, recommend buying over priced beers else where, the experience is lacking.
  • Not my kind of place. The 'shhhh' to make people quiet. Ambient music is super low, too much low.
