  • The Asia Society Museum has some interesting paintings on display of Zao Wou-Ki. His style is interesting and abstract for the most part.
  • Went looking for was being held as part of the Asian society 60th anniversary event Kamakura art exhibition. Just to see the exhibition of excellent, and dealing with a variety of Asian Museum Shop is also beautiful, is also interesting. This is the place you want to visit on a regular basis.

  • This is an exquisite museum (the part I visited). In particular, we got a guided tour (included with admission, which was only $10 for seniors) for the Kamakura special exhibition. Fascinating, becaus...  read more »
  • Ok small gifts. Nice art books. Would visit if I go to an exhibit but not as it's own destination.
  • Most of the Museum in nyc are allowed to take pictures except Asian society, it's weird... The artifacts are good but lack of details or descriptions. The place is small and only few exhibits. The admission fee is a bit higher compared to other bigger Museum with less fee. The worst thing is the security personnel accused me of stealing their magnifying glass. I PERSONALLY CAN'T RECOMMEND ASIAN SOCIETY.
  • Enjoyed not only the exhibitions but the museum store was very enjoyable with some fantastic books!!!!
  • Loved the ambience! I live just a few blocks away and didn't realize such a gem was nearby. I was on duty for Krishna: Love, Re-Invented performance by Sutra Foundation, a Malaysian based dance company and found that they have a packed calendar on a monthly basis with stuff that I'd want to see and do. Plus the gift store has such unique one-off items for an affordable price and the cafe's menu looks enticing. Speaking of the cafe, it's actually makes for a good option if you're looking for a nice venue for any events you're planning to have. It looks like an indoor park and garden, with high ceilings. The personnel there are also very accommodating and friendly.
  • I have been here for a number of exhibits and they were all quite good. Moreover, I came here on Mother's Day for lunch and was quite impressed. Service was a little slow, (Most likely because they had a large Mother's day crowd). The food was very good. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.
