  • Excellent Deli in Little Italy. You say that is the House of cheese more ancient of the United States, that not it I can confirm, but if that is worthwhile to buy cheese to eat. De lo mas rico!

  • This is a traditional old fashioned Italian cheese store that has been in business over 100 years. It's the oldest cheese market in Little Italy and makes the best ricotta and mozzarella.  more »
  • This is the oldest Italian cheese store in America. It's been serving Little Italy for over 100 years and has been handed down thru the family. The homemade mozzarella and prosciutto were amazing!  more »

  • Sandwiches are enormous, staff is super friendly, and if you're lucky, you may just see a star. Grab a canoli, you know you want one
  • I don't know where the haters come from. I am always treated great. They give you a little taste of the different cheeses so you can pick what you like. The Italian combo is knock out fantastic
  • The most amazing cannoli !! Prior to having theirs, I thought I didn't like cannoli. Upon returning to Florida it's all I can think about. Can't wait to return ...it's perfection ❤️
  • I went to Alleva with my wife about a year and four months ago. Great service! I will be back!
  • Terrible terrible customer service. We walk in at 6:40 and he says we are closed, when it fact they close at 7. We said we just want to buy ricotta and he said ok that's fine. And then as we walk back to the counter he said "F**king customers". This is unacceptable. We had small children with us and the place wasn't even closed. The other workers tried to say it wasn't towards you yet we were the only ones there. We will NEVER come back. All the years coming here and never again will we come back. There are other places that are equally as good, if not better down the street.

Where to stay in New York City

The first step to finding accommodations in New York City is finding the right neighborhood. Manhattan, where most visitors end up, offers some of the most expensive rooms in the world, though there are lower-budget options, such as hostels with shared restrooms. Reduce your costs by basing yourself in one of the outer boroughs, but beware of low-end motels where you may end up sharing the premises with hourly customers. Alternatively, stay along the New Jersey shore, offering all the major chain hotels at considerably lower prices than their Manhattan equivalents.
