Where to stay in New York City

The first step to finding accommodations in New York City is finding the right neighborhood. Manhattan, where most visitors end up, offers some of the most expensive rooms in the world, though there are lower-budget options, such as hostels with shared restrooms. Reduce your costs by basing yourself in one of the outer boroughs, but beware of low-end motels where you may end up sharing the premises with hourly customers. Alternatively, stay along the New Jersey shore, offering all the major chain hotels at considerably lower prices than their Manhattan equivalents.

  • Great spot to people watch family come and go to take pictures. Ample seating for reflection.
  • Beautifully evocative statue of Alice in Wonderland with all of her best friends, including the Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat and the Dormouse. A favorite of children for generations.
  • I love sitting by this statue and really thinking about everything. You can really have some fun here
  • It is free to visit so it is already a good thing. Nothing to write about this statue as if you check images and the title it already tells you what is about. My advice is to go here early in the morning if you want to take a photo or the statue or yourself on the statue because it is crowded of tourists who climb it so it becomes crazy spot during busy hours. Parts of the statue are slippery so if you climb take attention. Beside the statue there is a sign that tells you you can download the Central Park app and listen the voice of Woopi Goldberg telling you more about the statue.
  • I'm a huge fan of the story, so I loved it. Just keep in mind: it gets TOO hot in summer, don't sit on it!
