the range of films, theatrical performances and interesting lectures is vast and fascinating. We were entranced recently by a concert by the 92Y School of Music Orchestra. There are many offerings at ...  more »

While a small (60-80 capacity?) theatre - it was comfortable, warm and welcoming and perfect for an up and coming small off-broadway show. The staff was friendly from the security guard in the lobby t...  more »

Love this facility if I sit downstairs in the orchestra. Ideal for small quartets trios and cozy talks and lectures. The auditorium is a delight with its dedications to some of the masters if music. A...  more »

Have many things there including even a swimming pool. I know best Israeli Folk Dancing there that is there every Wednesdays (expect Jewish holidays) from 8:15pm-12:45am. Dancing alternates about every half hour between Couple and Circle dancing. Usually every time they teach 1 Circle dance and 1 Couple dance. Notices of dances are sent in advance to people that come and put there name on email list. Teaching basics (pre-registered series) is before 7-8pm. Current fee is $14 per person. Now usually on 4th Floor but was on 2nd Floor Ballroom and now also there some of the time. Few Saturday nights a year there are parties. BIG Marathon party is always evening before Thanksgiving holiday until 4am where lots of people participate. Really fun and good exercise.

Cool place to take art classes at night. They will hound you about a membership if you ever give them your email. You have been warned.

Mixed bag...some rude security guards (way too many of them too), really bad elevator service, and its a maze. Limited equipment for a gym of its size. Not too crowded though and nice gym staff

I lived here for 6 months when I was an exchange student. Amazing facilities, top security and very good apartments. Great place for young people!!!

Where to stay in New York City

The first step to finding accommodations in New York City is finding the right neighborhood. Manhattan, where most visitors end up, offers some of the most expensive rooms in the world, though there are lower-budget options, such as hostels with shared restrooms. Reduce your costs by basing yourself in one of the outer boroughs, but beware of low-end motels where you may end up sharing the premises with hourly customers. Alternatively, stay along the New Jersey shore, offering all the major chain hotels at considerably lower prices than their Manhattan equivalents.
