  • This was less a beer tour than a self-promotional event for the brewery that unfortunately required an admission fee. The tour consisted of about 1/4 of the time spent naming the family members withou...  more »
  • Everyone needs to take the tour of the brewery and then the tasting of the beer is a must. Then continue to shop.
  • Our experience was great from beginning to end. For $3 a person it is a lot for your money. Great museum, tour and beer. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Beer tasting was taster generous. My ...  more »

  • This place was really great to see. The tour was very informative on the history of the brewery and it was great to walk around the garden and brewery grounds. The tasting was great but would have been better if they had the Noble star beers. Other than that it was great.
  • Family friendly tours of Schell's brewery. Nice museum and gift shop and after the tour you get to go into the tap room and sample the beers being brewed. Grounds and gardens are beautiful, quiet and away from main roads. Spend an afternoon there, you won't regret it. Everyone is friendly and helpful.
  • Isn't this romantic? Me and my lovely lady partner popped in this morning. One of the resident peacocks was the first to greet us with his enormous, beautiful tail hanging outside the shuttered-for-now concession booth. Not five minutes later the scion himself, Ted Marti was one of the first persons we saw on the grounds, busy busy, almost Atlas-esque. I trust this man with my beer. I'd trust him with anything. He simply comes off as the most capable and it was a rare thrill just to be able to give him a good old fashioned New Ulm wave. The tour is both entertaining and educational AND only three dollars, for which me and pardner were given practically eight beers, which of course we couldn't finish and for that I'm still finding it hard to completely forgive myself. Dave was really, really cool and we basically left feeling like we were his friends, so there's that too! All in all, what a shamalama good time! PS say hi to the deer PSS maybe if any of the haters on here had asked any questions using audible words then I'm sure their guide would have been more than thrilled to tell them some fascinating historical anecdotes, so don't forget to ask your pressing questions you potential grumps!
  • Awesome hospitality and top notch beer in a beautiful pastoral setting.
  • The kindest people and the best beer. Beautiful grounds, the tour was very fun! Their festivals are very cool, especially BockFest
